May 1, 2019

  • An officer responded to a local retail store in response to a report of a theft. A 17-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with fifth-degree theft.
  • A caller complained about an assault in the 2700 block of Charles Street between two juvenile females. No charges were filed.

May 2, 2019

  • A local retail store 1308 First Ave. received a fraudulent $20 bill.

May 3, 2019

  • An officer responded to a local retail store for a fraudulent $100 bill.
  • A caller complained about harassment in the 800 block of Third Street. An officer spoke with all parties and warned of possible harassment charges.
  • A fraudulent $20 bill was reported from a local retail store.
  • A caller said he received a fraudulent $100 bill.
  • Someone came into the station and reported possible identity theft.
  • An accident was reported in the 400 block of Lucinda Street when a 2008 Honda owned and operated by Noel Salazar Clemente, 407 Lucinda St., Perry, backed into a 2012 Dodge Ram owned and operated by Ralan Henry Nelson, 329 St. Paul St., Perry. Clemente was issued a citation for failure to yield.
  • Glenn Troy Graspy, 33, 1909 E. 22nd St., Des Moines, was arrested on a charge of second-degree domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury.

May 4, 2019

  • A 16-year-old male was taken into custody on a charge of assault causing bodily injury.
  • Feliciano Garcia-Lopez, 56, 2801 First Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
  • A caller reported the destruction of property in the 2200 block of First Avenue. A farm equipment vehicle reportedly hit a mail box and street sign in the 2300 block of First Avenue.
  • Raina Melvina Whitfield, 49, 2002 W. Third St., Perry, was arrested on charges of OWI and child endangerment.

May 5, 2019

  • A caller reported a dog bite in the 1700 block of Jones Street.
  • A caller complained about a stolen cell phone taken from the 500 block of First Avenue.
