May 11, 2017

  • A caller said someone stole her billfold and her boyfriend’s billfold from her vehicle. An officer responded.
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department “advised he shot a turkey buzzard at the water tower.”
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. “to report a dead cat.” An officer responded. The Perry Public Works Department was notified.
  • A caller said he “was informed that a female” has “pictures of his 16-year-old daughter nude as well as pictures of male adults.” The caller said “he doesn’t know exactly what is in the pictures.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she had just arrived home, and there was a guy outside of her house with a baseball bat, and he told her that there was a disturbance inside her house and her would take care of it.” Officers responded and transported the man with the bat to the Dallas County Hospital for a “mental committal.”
  • A caller said “she had a neighbor two houses down who always has her dogs loose.” The caller said “she is tired of her dogs not being on a leash and always” defecating “in her yard.” The caller said she “tried talking to her about it, but she just walked away.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “there was someone screaming, ‘Don’t kill me,’ and ‘Don’t tell them who I am.'” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
  • A caller said two dogs were lost.

May 12, 2017

  • A caller reported “a litter of kittens underneath some brush.” An officer responded and transported four kittens to the Perry Animal Holding facility. The Humane Society of Perry was notified.
  • A caller said “he can smell marijuana coming from the apartment below him.” Officers responded but were “unable to locate any odors of marijuana.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

  1. Folks, why didn’t you just wait until the mother of those four kittens came back? If need be, all five could have been captured together.
