May 5, 2018

  • A wireless 911 caller “reported a 2-year-old child alone.” Officers responded and learned the child “resides a few houses down the street. The parents took the child inside.”
  • A caller asked for help “in calming her boyfriend down.” The caller said he “is threatening to trash the apartment.” Officers responded, spoke with both parties and gave them a card for Crisis Intervention and Advocacy.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “someone has taken $300 out of her credit card in California.” An officer responded.
  • Chris Lyn Jensen of 1622 Willis Ave. was issued a citation for first-offense violation of open burning.
  • A caller asked “how to obtain a no-contact order against her husband.” The caller said “she is afraid of him because of things from the past.” An officer responded.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department was “flagged down” by someone who gave the officer a syringe he said he found. The Officer “disposed of it properly.”
  • A caller said he “heard a lot of noise” in a neighboring apartment, and “now he can no longer hear anything, and he finds it odd since the windows are open.” An officer responded, made contact with the sometimes noisy neighbors and found “all okay.”
  • Hector Cardona, 24, 1414 Fifth St., #1, Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving while barred.
  • A caller said “her mother and her stalker, later identified as her mother’s boyfriend, were fighting.” Officers responded and learned the “argument was over a cell phone” and that the mother “also accused the male of cheating.” The officers spoke with both parties and gave them a card for Crisis Intervention and Advocacy.

May 6, 2018

  • Francisco Jose Sanchez, 24, 2609 Otley Ave., Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A caller said “there is yelling and arguing at the house next door.” Officers responded and found the occupants of the house next door “had friends over and had been drinking. No other issue to report.”
  • A caller said “he has been receiving harassing text messages from” a former tenant who “left property behind” and is “refusing to get it until” the caller “gives him gas money.” An officer responded and assisted the caller “with arranging a time and date for” the former tenant to “retrieve his property.”
  • A caller said her neighbor “is abusing her dog.” The caller said she saw the neighbor “hit the husky with the chain.” An officer responded and made contact with the neighbor, who said “she got after the dog for misbehaving,” and “she wants to re-home the husky due to the husky being too hyper for her.”
  • A caller reported “screaming coming from” a location nearby. Officers responded and “heard a verbal dispute ongoing inside” between a man and woman. Interposing, the officers learned the couple was arguing “over the male failing to do his part or share of the housework,” and the “female got upset and was yelling.” The officers “calmed the situation down,” and the man said “he would do more to help out.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “someone in a truck is stealing the plants” from a downtown Perry intersection. An officer responded and found people “who were planting flowers, not stealing flowers.” Further investigation uncovered no evidence “to indicate someone had stolen flowers.”
  • A caller said “someone left two kids in their car seats” unattended. The caller called again and said “the vehicle is gone.”
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department was “flagged down” by someone who gave the officer a debit card he said he found. The officer made contact with the owner of the card.
  • An adult with children entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a billfold they said they found. An officer responded and made contact with the billfold’s owner.
  • Jose Robles of 1320 Pattee St., Perry, was issued a citation for violation of open burning.
  • Ryan Curtis Lyddon of 2209 Willis Ave. was issued a citation for violation of open burning.
  • Jorge Casas Bolivar of 1008 Otley Ave., Perry, was issued a citation for violation of open burning.
  • Ahmed Suleyman Idriss, 51, 1609 Otley Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.

May 7, 2018

  • A caller said his dog was missing.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
