October 31, 2018

  • A caller said she drove by her friend’s house, and the garage door is open. The caller said “she is the only one with a garage opener.” An officer responded and found “the garage door is closed.”
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order to speak with an officer about “harassment.” An officer responded.
  • An “anonymous caller” requested a welfare check on someone “who has a disability and is supposed to be looked out for.” The caller said “her boyfriend has only given her coffee.” Officers responded, made contact with the parties and determined “everything is okay there.”
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department came upon two “vehicles” that “were egged in the last couple of days.”
  • A caller asked “to speak with an officer about drug activity.” An officer responded.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department spoke with someone “who found an envelope with strange writing on it.”
  • A caller said “that sometime during the downtown Halloween celebration, someone stole her receiver worth about $1,500” and “someone had taken her Bluetooth speaker.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her child “did not come home after school.” An officer responded and learned the child “stayed home sick today.”
  • A caller said she wanted her daughter “to come home because she just leaves her three kids with her and then goes off.” An officer responded and made contact with the daughter, who “agreed to go home.”
  • A caller said “there was someone in the back of his house at the door.” The caller said “he couldn’t tell who it was, and his mom was not home.” Officers responded and made contact with two people, who said “they were there to jump start” a “truck that died.” The officers asked them to “leave for the time being.”

November 1, 2018

  • A caller said someone “was yelling at the upstairs neighbor.” Officers responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
