  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department was informed by a citizen that her 15-year-old daughter “has been hanging out with” someone 18 years old. The citizen said the 18-year-old “has been talked to about not being with her daughter.” The officer responded and located the child, who was “returned to mom.”
  • A caller said “there is an animal in her house,” and she “does not know what it is.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a dead cat on the road.” The Perry Public Works Department was notified.
  • A caller said “that two women were screaming.” Officers responded.
  • A wireless 911 caller said “a male was trying to steal her Thanksgiving turkey,” and “she needed law enforcement immediately.” The caller then “hung up and refused to give any other information when dispatch called back,” saying only that “it was too late, and the turkey was all over the floor.” The Dallas County Sheriff’s office was notified.
  • A caller said “there is a bat hanging above her kitchen cabinet,” and she “would like an officer to help.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she just hit a deer” on U.S. Interstate 80. The caller was transferred to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
  • A caller said “she wants her stuff back from someone” who “has locked her out of the residence.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
