  • A caller said “her 8-year-old son is throwing a fit and refusing to go to school.” An officer responded and “persuaded the child to go to school.”
  • A caller said “her 11-year-old son, who has been truant in the past, is hiding from her and refusing to go to school.” An officer responded and “facilitated getting the juvenile to the mother’s vehicle” and then to school.
  • A caller said her runaway daughter was home. Officers responded and “transported the juvenile to the police department for processing.”
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. Officers responded but did not find the dog.
  • Frederick James Lonsdale, 43, 1223 Sixth St., Perry, was arrested on a Story County warrant for probation violation and on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “he was harassed by a neighbor this morning.” Officers responded, and “both parties were advised to leave each other alone.”
  • A caller reported “really loud teenagers” who “were really rude.” Officers responded and directed the young people “to settle down” and “to keep it down.”
  • A caller said “she was missing medicine.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she was walking her dog and asked two people what they were doing.” The caller said “they told her, ‘F*** you! Get the f*** out of here. We are going to shoot you.'” An officer responded and told the two people “to stay away.”
  • A caller said “she just got home,” and on her porch she found “a dog with a knife in it.” Officers responded and started an investigation.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
