- Several minors were issued citations for curfew violations.
- A caller at a local retail store reported two males who were “waiting for a pizza who were intoxicated and were driving.” An officer responded and determined the driver was not intoxicated.
- A caller said her 13-year-old brother “has not been home since yesterday” and “does not have a phone.” An officer responded.
- Misty Dawn Larson, 38, 2518 Willis Ave., Perry, was arrested on chrges of forgery, fourth-degree theft and unauthorized use of a credit card.
- A caller said a man and woman were fighting, and the “family is with them, trying to calm them down.” Officers responded.
- A caller said her dog was lost. The caller called again and said her dog was found.
- A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “he received a text message from someone who stated they had kidnapped his child.” The caller said “his children were safe at home.” An officer responded and explained “the caller was someone attempting to scam him.”
- A caller reported “a child of 5 or 6 years of age playing in his backyard.” The caller said he “doesn;t know who the child is or where she lives.” An officer responded, “escorted the child to her residence” and “spoke to her mother,” who “thought the child had gone to the park.”
- A caller reported “at least two kids on top of the restrooms at Wiese Park and one on the ground.” An officer responded and made contact with “a group of four kids who were playing hide and seek.” The officer “advised them to stay off the roof.”
- A caller said “he received a call from someone who stated his phone number was left on his vehicle, stating he had hit his vehicle.” An officer responded, “determined it was a scam call” and “advised if the caller calls him again, to tell him to report the issue to law enforcement.”
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
