October 27, 2016

  • A caller said “a vehicle with one headlight” was “there yesterday and is there today where kids are going to be dropped off at school.” The caller “thought it was suspicious.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said she caught a dog running at large and was holding the dog at the Perry Animal Holding facility. An officer responded and “placed” the dog in the “pound.” The Humane Society of Perry was notified.
  • A caller said “her neighbor is burning, and there is no one there to watch the fire.” An officer responded and advised the burning neighbor of the dates for open burning: Oct. 29 to Nov. 20. The fire was put out.
  • A caller said he caught a dog running at large and was transporting the dog to the Perry Animal Holding facility. An officer responded. The Humane Society of Perry was notified.
  • A motorist called and said she was driving when someone in a “vehicle in front of her threw a bottle of bleach with a string attached to it out the window.” The calling motorist said she “ran over it with her vehicle.” An officer responded but did not find the bleach bottle.
  • Robert Van Le, 24, 335 Lucinda St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of interference with official acts after he was reportedly observed “throwing rocks at parked patrol cars.”
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. “Officers were tied up in an emergency situation at the time of the call” and “then had firearms training.” When an officer responded, the dog was gone.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. “Officers were busy at the time of the call.” When an officer responded, the dog was gone.
  • A “911 call from a child” was received “regarding mother being kicked by boyfriend.” An officer responded and determined “no assault occurred.”
  • A caller said a pickup truck pulled into his yard, “backed out then left the scene.” The caller said “the truck ran over a storm drain and left tire marks on the  caller’s yard.” An officer responded “to speak with the driver of the pickup,” who said “she just missed the turn.” The driver “was spoken to about her driving.”
  • A caller said a tenant recently moved out of a rental property “and damaged the inside of the residence and left trash behind.” An officer responded.

October 28, 2016

  • A 16-year-old female from Perry was issued a citation for first-offense curfew violation.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
