October 6, 2018

  • Callers reported horses running at large near 16th and North streets. An officer responded and made contact with the owner.
  • A caller from a local restaurant said a female “accused another female” of striking her vehicle. “She went out and started hitting her car. The other lady apologized,” and “they began to talk and appeared they were exchaning insurance information.” One of the females left the scene, and the other female “told him to call the police” and “then got mad and just left also.” An officer responded but did not find the motorists.
  • A caller “reported his motorcycle missing.” Investigation revealed the vehicle was repossessed.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a cat she caught running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.

October 7, 2018

  • A caller said “there was a couple in his residence who were arguing,” and the caller “wanted the female out of his house.” Officers responded and found the disputants were intoxicated. It was determined the female “does not reside at the residence,” and an officer transported the female to her mother’s residence.
  • A caller could be heard saying, “You don’t come to my house and threaten me.” An officer responded and later served one of the parties with a no-trespass notice.
  • A caller said her 7-year-old brother “left the house sometime last night after 9 p.m.” and did not return. An officer responded, and the “juvenile returned home while” the officer “was at the residence.”
  • A caller said “someone was burning something in the alley.” An officer responded and found “three males” were “burning pieces of an old dresser.” The officer “advised them of the ordinance and told them to put the fire out.”
  • A caller reported “people being loud and playing loud music.” An officer responded but did not hear any excessive noise.
  • A caller said “she would like extra patrol of her residence due to her husband, from whom she is separating, harassing her.” Officers were advised.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
