  • A caller said the “landlord typed up a three-day notice and put it on the door.” The caller said the “three days is up today,” and property remains in the residence. The caller was “concerned about the landlord coming in and removing his property.” An officer responded and advised the caller about options.
  • A caller “requested a welfare check” on two children, a one-year-old child and a seven-week-old child, who were “supposed to be in the care of their father.” An officer responded and “could see both children but could not get anyone to answer the door.” Further investigation revealed an adult “was there but refusing to answer the door. Services (were) provided.”
  • Jesus Salvador Martinez-Romo, 1211 W. Second St., Perry, was issued a citation for first-offense dog at large.
  • A caller said a “short, thin, white female with blonde hair” had “left a child alone in a car.” The caller estimated the child’s age at one year. The caller said “she confronted the woman,” but the woman “just drove off.” The caller said the “child was not secured in the vehicle.” Officers “were in training at the police station and not in position to respond.”
  • A caller said he found a cell phone. An officer responded and “took possession of the phone.”
  • A caller said he caught a kitten running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility. The Humane Society of Perry was notified.
  • A caller said he found a hearing aid. An officer responded and “logged the hearing aid into evidence.”
  • Timothy Glen Pittman, 24, 1008 Graceland Ave., Perry, was arrested on a Perry warrant on a charge of second-degree robbery.
  • A caller said “there was a semi parked by Shopko and had hogs in it.” The caller said the animals were “stinking up the place.” An officer responded but did not find the hog semi.
  • A caller said someone “had traded in bikes for a tattoo” but “apparently” did “not finish paying off the bikes, so now the original seller of the bikes” was “at the shop, wanting the bikes back.” A second caller regarding the bikes-for-tattoo affair “said he paid off the bikes already.” Officers responded and advised all parties it was “a civil matter” and the seller “would have to take” the buyer “to court.”
  • A caller said her dog was missing. The caller later reported her dog was found.

September 9, 2016

  • A caller said “someone is sleeping in the public restroom at” an apartment complex. An officer responded and found “no one was in the bathroom or in the area.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
