September 28, 2016

  • A caller lodged “a complaint about a boat and a trailer that has been sitting” in the street for one week. An officer responded and “gave the owner a verbal warning.”
  • A caller said her vehicle was “side-swiped while she was at the store working.” An officer responded.
  • A pocket-dialed 911 was received at the offices of the Perry Police Department.
  • A caller said “there was glass along Iowa Highway 141 and County Road P58 but then it was along the Diagonal Road over the bridge.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “a 90-year-old female has cut her ear.” An officer responded, and Dallas County EMS was paged.
  • A caller requested assistance from an officer of the Perry Police Department “due to a neighbor dispute over trespassing.” An officer responded.
  • A caller “reported children throwing balls at” a Perry church. An officer responded but did not find the children throwing balls.
  • A caller reported “a number of children ringing the church bell.” An officer responded and found “multiple juveniles who has been taking pictures in front of the church.”
  • A caller said he was threatened by two people who “are telling him that he sold them a stolen bike.” Officers responded and told the caller “to have no further contact with” the two people. The officers attempted to make contact with the two people.
  • A caller said two “juveniles” had “gotten into a physical altercation.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “someone banging on his window really loud.” He said it “scared his 16-month-old, and now he is out driving around.” An officer responded.

September 29, 2016

  • Zachary Lee Flinn, 23, 106 E. Percival St., Rippey, was “stopped and brought to the police station for (drug recognition expert) testing.” Charges are pending.
  • Jeremy James Beem, 34, 1908 W. Fourth St., #6, Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of larceny.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
