- Julio Adrian Ruiz, 19, of 1421 Fifth St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of conspiracy to deliver controlled substance to a minor.
September 21, 2021
- A 2013 Toyota Highlander, registered to Matthew James McDevitt of 2101 Iowa St., Perry, and driven by Sophia Marie McDevitt of 2101 Iowa St., Perry, collided with a legally parked 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, registered to Tommy William Bobbett of 2305 McKinley St., Perry, in the 2300 block of McKinley Street. One person was transported to the Dallas County Hospital by Dallas County EMS. Damages were estimated at $30,000.
September 22, 2021
- A 2008 Chevy Trailblazer, registered to and driven by Paul Leo Duff of 2114 First Ave., Perry, struck a pedestrian, Francisca Santa Romero of 1424 Seventh St., Perry, in the 1200 block of Third Street. Duff said that he did not see Romero until she was struck by the driver’s side mirror of Duff’s vehicle. Romero said that she saw Duff’s vehicle but thought she was out of its way. Romero was transported to the Dallas County Hospital by Dallas County EMS.
