A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4 at the First Christian Church in Perry for Peter “Pete” Lester, 57, of Ames. Visitation will be held Friday, June 3 starting at 3 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 5–7 p.m. at Murdock Funeral Home.
Pete passed away May 21, 2016, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.
Survivors include his wife, Holly Lester of Ames; one son, Joey Lester of Cedar Falls; his mother, Marlene Lester of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; and his sister, Trish (Randy) Appenzeller of Tarpon Springs, Fla.
