Police action leads to arrest of Perry man on drug charges Saturday

A Perry man was arrested on drug charges early Saturday when police visited his house on west Willis Avenue.

Matthew Tyler Andorf, 38, of 415 Willis Ave., Perry, was arrested Saturday on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver-methamphetamine, possession of a taxable substance without a tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Matthew Tyler Andorf, 38, of 415 Willis Ave., Perry, was arrested by officers of the Perry Police Department on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver-methamphetamine, possession of a taxable substance without a tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the Perry Police Department, officers responded to “a complaint of a disturbance in the 200 block of Willis” at 4:38 a.m. Saturday, issuing in the arrest of Andorf.

He is being held in the Dallas County Jail on a cash or surety bond of $105,300 and is scheduled to make an initial appearance before a Dallas County Magistrate at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Andorf has prior convictions for marijuana possession in 1998, 2007, 2012 and 2018.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

  1. Very sad! Another great person who battles with addiction. Matt, I pray that God intervenes in yours and my son’s lives and leads you to overcome this demon.

    • Matt is an awesome co-worker and an even better friend. He would help out anyone. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family .
