The 100+ People for Perry donors club rounded out their third year of local giving Monday by pledging $7,400 to the Perry Police Memorial project.

After 12 meetings, the group has so far given $80,600 to 12 local projects.

The meeting also included project summaries from the February and August recipients, Alano and Art on the Prairie.

One Hundred+ People for Perry’s mission is to invest in Perry’s future by supporting current charities, non-profits and other worthy projects that advance the quality of life. Since its founding, the group has contributed $73,200 to 11 local projects.

The group makes four large donations each year, and each gift stays 100 percent in the local community. No national charities are be considered. Each recipient must be a 501 (c)(3) or sponsored by a 501 (c)(3), be project based and must benefit the Perry community.

All community members are welcome to attend, and new projects worth considering are always welcome.

  1. Where is the proposed site of the memorial? The artist sketch looks to be on a corner. Would be nice to include the location for out-of-towners. Kudos to the group, their gift and all other givers.
