Roberta Carpenter, 74, of Omaha passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, at the Ambassador Rehab in Omaha, Nebraska.
A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Roberta May Carpenter was born March 24, 1948, in Perry, Iowa, to Robert Luther and Ruby Fern (Lewis) Smotherman.
She graduated from Perry High School.
Roberta worked as a waitress at the Uptown Café and West End Café, both in Perry.
She enjoyed playing games on her tablet, cards with family and watching NASCAR.
In death she rejoins her parents, Robert and Ruby Smotherman; brother, Robert Smotherman; sister, Linda Morgan; stepmother, Vivian Smotherman; and stepfather, Lowell Peterson.
Left to cherish Roberta’s memory are her sons, Donnie (Denise) Carpenter of Rippey and Billy (Nicky) Carpenter of Dawson; grandchildren, Xavier and Zac Carpenter, Alex and Brittany Carpenter, Matthew (Sam) Kinney, Jasmine (Matt) McNeill and Hunter (Melissa) Burkett; and six great-grandchildren.
