Scott Clifton, 47, of Groveport, Ohio, and formerly of Adel passed away June 22, 2018, at the Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, June 29 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home-McCalley Chapel in Adel, with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at Panther Creek Cemetery at a later date.
Scott was born Feb. 22, 1971, to Arnold and Janet (Emerson) Clifton.
He graduated from Adel High School in 1990 and Iowa Lakes Community College in 1992.
On Aug. 26, 2000, Scott married Mona Bruse.
Scott retired from the Dallas County Secondary Roads Department after relocating to Columbus, Ohio, in 2015.
He enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, playing the banjo and his favorite activity, cowboy action shooting.
Scott is survived by his wife, Mona; brother, Mike (Bobette) and sister, Debbie (Leon), both of Adel; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends; and his faithful companion, Dewey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
