Striping of parking stalls stalls in rain, to resume Tuesday at 10 p.m.

The city of Perry will begin the rain-postponed re-striping of crosswalks and repainting of parking stalls and the city parking lot in the downtown area on the evening of Monday, June 25.

Due to the rain, the re-striping of crosswalks and painting of parking stalls in the downtown area will now take place on the evening of Tuesday, June 25, the city of Perry announced Monday.

Crews will start working at 10 p.m. The city asks motorists to move any vehicles parked on the street to an off-street parking lot or another location by 10 p.m.

Re-striping of the city of Perry parking lot at the intersection of First and Willis avenues will also begin on the evening of Tuesday, June 25.

All vehicles parked in this parking lot must be moved by 10 p.m. The parking lot will re-opened to vehicles early on the morning of Wednesday, June 26.

The city of Perry thanks all citizens for cooperating, the city said.
