Students and parents will have a final chance to say “so long” to their teachers when Perry Elementary holds a Summer Send-off Drive-By Friday.
PES teachers and staff will be lining the front circle drive of the school at 3 p.m. Friday. Parents are invited to drive by and let their children greet their teachers as they drive by.
“We have a tradition of doing this for the buses on the last day of the school and wanted to do something similar this year,” Perry Elementary Principal Ned Menke said. “I know our teachers are looking forward to seeing as many of their students as possible.”
Parents are asked to simply take a slow drive through the parking lot, similar to what they would do when picking up their child.
