Three Perry City Council members were sworn into office by Perry City Clerk Paula Rychnovsky Monday night, the three incumbents bringing continuity to the city’s deliberations.
At-large council member Chuck Schott begins his third full term as a council member. Schott was first appointed to the council in 2010 and elected later in 2010.
Third ward council member Barb Wolling took the oath for her second full term on the city council. Wolling was appointed to the council in 2012 and elected to her seat later that year.
First ward council member Dean Berkland was sworn in for his second full term on the council. He was first elected in 2015.
The three incumbents were congratulated by their fellow council members, second ward member Dr. Randy McCaulley, first appointed to the council in 2011, and at-large member Vicki Klein, elected in 2017.
Perry Mayor John Andorf was absent from the Monday night meeting. Andorf was elected mayor in 2017 after serving one term as second ward city council member. Mayor Pro Tem Chuck Schott chaired Monday’s meeting.
