Services are pending for Tracy Edward Moore, 63, of Perry passed away March 20, 2024, at the William S. Middleton Veterans Memorial Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Tracy Edward Moore, the son of Paul Edward Moore and Pauline Ruth Moore, was born Feb. 20, 1961, in Perry, Iowa.

He attended the Ogden schools until the family moved to Perry, and then he attended the Perry schools.

Tracy joined the U.S. Army May 28, 1980, and was honorably discharged Aug. 12, 1992.

He served most of his time in Germany, where he et the love of his life, Silke Hasenstab, and the two were united in marriage June 8, 1983, in Copenhagen, Denmark. The couple was blessed with two sons, Patrick and Daniel Moore.

During his time in Germany Tracy served in the Desert Storm/Desert Shield War in Iraq.

After his time in the military, Tracy worked for IBP in Perry until he started his own business, T&S Plumbing, Heating and Cooling in Perry in November 2005.

Tracy was the vice commander for the Perry VFW Post 2060 Honor Guard.

Tracy and Silke loved to travel and later took many trips as a family. They also enjoyed trips to the Lake of the Ozarks, where Tracy enjoyed going fishing with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Moore.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Silke; two children, Patrick Moor of Perry and Daniel (Cindy) Moore of Perry; four grandchildren, Alexis Richardson of Colo, Addison Perks of Perry,  Sloan Moore of Perry and Iyla Moore of Perry; his mother, Pauline Moore of Perry; one sister, Kathleen Vestal; two brothers, Jerry Moore and Gregory Moore; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
