UPDATE: U.S. Highway 169 reopens after wreck at Iowa Highway 141

U.S. Highway 169 has reopened after three semi-tractor trailers and at least one passenger vehicle were involved in a multi-vehicle collision at the Iowa Highway 141 underpass about 5:45 a.m. Thursday.

U.S. Highway 169 has reopened to through traffic after a collision involving three semi-tractor trailers and at least one passenger vehicle closed the roadway at the Iowa Highway 141 underpass in both directions at about 5:45 a.m. Thursday.

Motorists were advised to avoid the interchange until emergency personnel treat the injured and clean up the highway, tasks now completed.

One person was transported from the scene with non-life threatening injuries to the Dallas County Hospital by Dallas County EMS.

The collision is under investigation by local law enforcement and the Iowa State Patrol. Dense fog was apparently a factor.

The Perry Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Bouton Volunteer Fire Department, Minburn Volunteer Fire Department and Woodward Volunteer Fire Department responded to the incident.
