About 50 customers in the northern Dallas County portion of the Xenia Rural Water District will be without water Monday while a leak in the system is repaired, a Xenia spokesperson said Monday morning.
“We have a small leak just west of our office that we had planned to fix today,” said Corey Iben, human resources and administration manager for the Xenia Rural Water District. “It’s a line that goes under 141 . It’s just a two-inch water line. It affects 50 customers who pretty much surround our office.”
The work will disrupt very few of the 10,000 customers in Xenia service area.
“We had placed a door tag on all the 50 homes to let them know of this planned work,” Iben said. “Usually, on small things like this we try not to confuse out customers, and we reach out directly to them on these small issues.”
He said a boil order will be put into effect following the system maintenance only for the customers affected by the outage.
