An Urbandale man was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Tuesday in connection with a July 2021 incident in which he allegedly assaulted a woman in Perry.
Aloys Rugazura, 25, of 4509 86th St., Urbandale, was charged July 12 with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness after he allegedly “took a power strip and struck the victim across the left arm with the cord of the strip, leaving a visible welt,” according to court records.
A warrant for Rugazuga’s arrest was issued Jan. 6 in Dallas County District Court when he failed to appear for a pretrial conference. Rugazura is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing July 23 in Dallas County District Court.
