A graveside service for Vernetta “Ruth” Doty, 99, of Mountain Home, Ark., and formerly of Bayard and Jefferson will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Highland Cemetery in Bayard.
Ruth passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, in Arkansas.
Ruth is survived by her grandchildren, Devin (Stacie) Bruggeman of Navarre, Fla., Jerald Bruggeman of Wichita, Kan., Jason (Teresa) Bruggeman of Mountain Home, Ark., Twylla, Jeri, Patrcia, Ricky, Randy, Rachel, Rhonda, Rhodny and Ryan; sister, Anna McCollum of Mountain Home; many great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; her parents; her children, Ruth Doty, Ellen Doty, Joyce Doty and Gerald Doty; brothers, Harold Palmer and Albert Palmer; sisters, Pearl Masters, Hazel Seifert, Florence Brown, Charlotte Shadd, Mary Pickard, Loretta Palmer and Freda Rudolph; and two granddaughters, Joyce Ann Renken and Mattie Beth Joyce.
Hastings Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of final arrangements.
