Virgilio Cortez, 80, of Perry and formerly of Guatemala passed away Monday, April 20, 2020, at the Unity Point Health-Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
In accord with his wishes, Mr. Cortez will be returned to Guatemala for burial.
The Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care is taking care of his arrangements.
