COVID-19 tests will be offered Friday and Saturday to all staff members of long-term care facilities in Dallas County at the fairgrounds in Adel by a state-led testing strike team. All nursing home workers are eligible for the tests.
Friday’s tests will be given from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. To make an appointment for testing, contact IDPH COVID-19 Media Relations Coordinator Amy McCoy at amy.mccoy@idph.iowa.gov.
The Dallas County Fairgrounds are located at 28057 Fairground Road in Adel.
The tests will be given through a partnership of the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the Iowa National Guard, which have formed testing strike teams. The program is part of the state’s long-term care testing initiative and aims to protect the most vulnerable populations.
