MADRID — Madrid avenged a 56-52 loss Dec. 16 with a 47-32 win over visiting Woodward-Granger Friday in West Central Conference boys basketball. W-G’s loss came one day after a 48-40 victory over host West Central Valley.

W-G (7-10, 5-10) struggled mightily from the floor, sinking only 2-of-18 3-point shots and just 9-of-28 inside the arc. They connected on 8-of-14 free throws.

Bryce Achenbach led the Hawks with 11 points, with Reese Jamison and Cameron Hoyt each adding five points. Marcus McConahay and Spencer Hanson provided four points apiece, with Brody Easter tallying two points and Brady Aunspach one.
