Tyshawn Antonio Frazier, 23, of Waukee was arrested Saturday on a charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.

A Waukee man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly spitting on the mother of his child and pushing her into bedroom furniture.

Tyshawn Antonio Frazier, 23, of 660 Walnut St., Waukee, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.

The incident occurred about 10 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Walnut Street, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The victim told the officers that she “tried to push Tyshawn away from her” in the course of a verbal dispute, and Frazier allegedly “then spit on her and pushed her into the dresser,” according to court records.

The officers observed on the victim “a mark on the left side of her neck and several small red marks around towards the back of her neck,” according to court records.

Frazier is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing March 30 in Dallas County District Court.
