Willis Avenue is closed Friday morning between W. Fourth and W. Fifth streets in order for Alliant Energy to remove a power pole.
The street will be closed between 8:30 a.m. and about 9:30 a.m.
High winds overnight downed a power line along the busy Perry thoroughfare about 1 a.m. Friday. The Perry Volunteer Fire Department closed the road, and Alliant line crew arrived about 2 a.m. to repair the power line.
Further work Friday morning is expected to take about one hour, according to Perry City Hall.
