Wilma Waters, 98, of Perry passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, at the Rowley Masonic Community in Perry, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until the service time. Burial will be at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.
Memorials will be given to Kindred Hospice or the First United Methodist Church and may be left at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent at www.carrisfuneralhome.com.
Wilma Eileen Waters was born Jan. 15, 1921, in Perry, Iowa, to Bert Jason and Hazel Alice (Fagen) Daniels.
She graduated from the Washington Township School.
Wilma was united in marriage to Robert Emery Waters in Grant City, Mo.
She retired from the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Wilma enjoyed bowling, reading, playing cards and watching sports.
In death she rejoins her husband, Robert: parents, Bert and Hazel; and a great grandson, Marcus Jackson.
Left to cherish Wilma’s memory are her daughters, Janet Lemonds of Des Moines and Linda (Ron) McDowell of Bouton; grandchildren, Brad (Dori) Pote, Vaughn (Kathy) Pote, Jennifer Pote and Craig (Heather) Pote Sr.; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Earl Daniels of Perry, Paul Daniels of Perry and Alberta Smith of Perry.
