A vehicle traveling in the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141 left the roadway just east of O Avenue about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, flipping and coming to rest on its top in the north ditch.
The solo occupant of the four-door Saturn was briefly trapped inside the overturned vehicle until he was extricated by emergency responders.
The driver appeared to be uninjured.
The cause of the mishap and identity of the driver are unknown at this hour.
The Perry Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Bouton First Responders, Bouton Volunteer Fire Department, Woodward Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded to the incident, which is under investigation.
