No one was injured in a porch fire on Perry’s west side Saturday afternoon.
The structure fire at 1722 W. Second St. was reported about 1:30 p.m.
Officers of the Perry Police Department controlled the fire with a garden hose prior to the arrival of the Perry Volunteer Fire Department.
The cause of the fire in the 116-year-old house, owned by Donald Escalante of Perry, is under investigation.
