April 24, 2017

  • A caller said “someone had broken into the shed and caused some damage to it.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “he found the garage at his rental property broken into yesterday.” An officer responded.
  • David Rene Cruz, 28, 601 Second St., Bayard, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A caller said “her estranged husband” has custody “of their 4-year-old daughter now.” The caller said “when she went there, the child was in the backyard unattended. The yard is fenced, but the gate was not locked.” The caller offered the report “for information only as she is picking up the child right after lunch.”
  • Two callers reported “a deer running eastbound on Willis Avenue.” There were “no officers available to respond.”
  • A caller said her dog was lost. The caller later called and said her dog was found.
  • A 16-year-old female from Perry was issued a citation for driving without a license.
  • A caller “said her son didn’t come home after school.” An officer responded and found the child.
  • A caller “was concerned about a dog being mistreated.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she thinks the vacant house next door to hers was broken into last night.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her 2-year-old son “has been gone for approximately 10 minutes.” An officer responded and found the child with other family members at the park.

  • A caller said “he found a counterfeit $20 bill in their deposit box.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
