March 31, 2017

  • A caller said her neighbor’s dog was missing.
  • A caller said her grandmother’s cat was missing.
  • A caller said she locked her keys in her vehicle. An officer responded and made contact with a towing company.
  • A caller said “someone had scratched around the entire car, including the hood and trunk, with a sharp object, causing damage to the paint.” An officer responded.
  • A caller from a local retail store said someone was trying to buy lottery tickets with another person’s identification card. An officer responded.
  • A caller said she “recently broke up with her boyfriend,” and “he is refusing to return her property.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said someone “riding a bike was throwing fireworks at birds.” Officers responded and made contact with a juvenile.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a debit card he said he found on the street. An officer responded, and the card was “logged into evidence.”
  • A caller reported “an occupied disabled scooter in the middle of the roadway.” An officer responded but did not find the scooter.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large.
  • A caller said “her son was walking on the trails” when he “had someone jump out at him with a knife.” An officer responded and searched the area. Further investigation revealed “that the report was fabricated by the child because he didn’t want to be grounded for being late.”

April 1, 2017

  • A caller said her boyfriend “was yelling at her and calling her names.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said someone “appeared to be trying to open vehicle doors” in the parking lot of a local retail store. An officer responded but did not find the person.
  • A caller said “he wanted to fix a leak at one of his rental properties, but the renters would not open the door for him.” An officer responded.

April 2, 2017

  • A caller said she caught someone “stealing from her house.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her daughter ran away. An officer responded and “took a runaway report.” The caller later called again and said “she spoke with her daughter, and she is going to be returning home.”
  • A caller said an unknown male keeps calling her at work and “making inappropriate comments to her.” An officer responded.
  • Rebecca Janene Twiselton, 23, was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of prescription drugs and two counts of fifth-degree theft.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “she was assaulted” and “that she has a lump on her head.” Officers responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
