  • Officers of the Perry Police Department conducted a funeral escort.
  • Vivienne Yvonne Ayon of 1323 Sixth St., Perry, was issued a citation for first-offense nuisance burning.
  • Alan Heywood, 33, 1305 First Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of second-degree theft.
  • A caller said “someone hit a pallet they have in the parking lot and left behind a plate.” The caller said he was “only concerned that they get their plate back.” An officer responded.
  • A caller “requested to speak with an officer about harassment.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “her coworker called her about 10 minutes ago and told her someone got into her vehicle and took off with it.” An officer responded and learned “the car has been recovered,” and “everything is okay.”
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department with “two young kittens.” An officer responded and transported the animals to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
