The National Weather Service offices in Johnston have issued a tornado warning for the southeast portion of Dallas County.
A radar-confirmed tornado was located near West Des Moines and the Moffett Lake subdivision at 8:23 p.m., moving northeast at 25 mph, the NWS said.
Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
