Class 3A 12th-ranked Des Moines Lincoln scored most of their goals in a short time frame to overwhelm 2A No. 12 Perry, 5-0, at Dewey Field Monday.
The Railsplitters (12-2) opened a 2-0 lead at the half and then struck three goals in a short span to put the game away in the second half. Perry fell to 10-6 with the loss.
Perry started the season 7-0 but has since won just three of their latest nine games. They will host Pella Thursday. The Little Dutch have also experienced a skid, having started their campaign 5-0 but since then dropping 8-of-10 games to stand at 7-8.

The other half of the bracket has Denison-Schleswig hosting the Glenwood vs. Harlan winner on May 22. The winner will travel to Perry (if Perry wins May 22) for the 2A Substate 8 Final May 25 at 12 p.m.
