MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa — The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team was on a mission Wednesday night when they faced the Denver Cyclones in the Regional Final, and they punched their ticket to the State Tournament.

It was another all-team effort for the Panthers. Tyme Boettcher led the Panthers in scoring with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Jaidy Sellers put up 16 points and 4 rebounds, and Morgan Crees added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

The two teams battled out until the very end. The Panthers were down 4 with 2:29 to go in
regulation. With 7.8 second left, Sophomore Morgan Crees knew what to do and went coast to coast for a layup that tied the game.

In the end, the Panthers triumphed in overtime with a 59-55 win over the Cyclones.

This makes the third trip to State for the Panther seniors in four years.

“I am so proud of the team’s composure down the stretch,” said Coach Boettcher. “With each timeout, the girls seemed more and more confident.”

The girls are now 23-1 overall. Their next game is at the Well on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. State tournament pairings and game times are listed below:
