Panorama's Drew Taylor slides safely across home plate as the ball arrives too late for W-G catcher Tate Lettow to make a timely tag in a game last summer. The two teams meet tonight in Granger.

STUART — Brice Taylor’s first inning grand slam sparked Panorama out of the gate, with the Panthers cruising to a 17-1 four-inning win over West Central Valley Monday.

Eric Taylor led off the top of the first by being hit with a pitch, with a walk to Luke South and a hit batsman of Drew Taylor loading the bags. Brice Taylor swept them clean for a 4-0 lead with a long ball.

Panorama plated six runs in the second and seven more in the third to cap their outburst, with the hosts plating their sole tally in the second.

Dominic Walker collected with win in just 1-1/3 innings of work. He struck out four, walked two and allowed one run on two hits. Preston Walker tossed 2-2/3 frames, fanning four and yielding one hit.

Evan Taylor had a triple, single, three runs and two RBIs, with Brice Taylor adding a hit to his big fly while driving in four runs and scoring twice. South finished with two doubles and three runs, with Preston Walker adding a single and a double and Jack Weinkoetz two base hits to lead the offense.

Panorama hosts Woodward-Granger tonight and Des Moines Christian Thursday.
