Tuesday evening witnessed yet another trip to the PHS Victory Bell by the Perry swimmers, who topped Oskaloosa, 78-55, as part of a double dual at the MCB pool that also included NCMP (Newton/Colfax-Mingo/Pella).

The format calls for each team to be scored separately against each opponent. NCMP was a 105-45 victor over Perry, with NCMP besting Oskaloosa, 116-37.

Perry had six swimmers in action and Oskaloosa nine. NCMP, in comparison, had a roster of 57.

Jayette senior Jaylene Karolus was first against both foes in both the 200 Individual Medley (2 minutes, 26.85 seconds) and the 100 butterfly (1:03.57) while Zoe Hibbert was first overall in the 100 backstroke (1:13.88).

Lily Riley was 2-1 (against NCMP/Oskaloosa) in the 500 freestyle in 6:11.05, setting a new personal best by dropping 6.73 seconds.

Jenna Nelson was 3-1 (1:07.66) and Emily Dowd 4-2 (1:09.52) in the 100 free, with Dowd cutting 4.85 ticks for a new personal best.

Hibbert shaved .42 seconds for a new PB of 27.36 seconds while placing 2-1 in the 50 free, with Hailey Peterson 4-4 in 39.44 in the event.

Nelson was 3-1 in the 200 free in 2:22.96 and Dowd 3-1 in the 100 breaststroke in 1:35.9.

The hosts finished 3-1 in all three relays. Karolus, Dowd, Riley, and Hibbert posted a 2:18.01 in the 200 medley relay, with Dowd, Riley, Nelson, and Peterson touching in 2:10.29 in the 200 freestyle while Nelson, Hibbert, Riley, and Karolus recorded a 4:11.75 in the 400 free relay.
