All-State Academic honors earned by DC-G netter Jackson

GRIMES, IOWA — DC-G senior Kenna Jackson was recently chosen to receive a rare honor — inclusion on the Iowa Girls Coaches Association All-State Academic volleyball team.

Requirements include being a senior and having a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale. Honorees must also have scored a minimum of 27 on the ACT or 1200 on the SAT.

Jackson has excelled on the court. She had 660 assists, 183 digs and 28 kills. Jackson finished 370-of-387 (96 percent) serving with 39 total aces.

For her career Jackson finished with an impressive 1,508 assists. She added 421 digs and 21 kills. An outstanding server, Jackson was 1,208-of-1,263 (96 percent) with 104 aces in her career.

Coached by Cheryl Voelker, the Fillies finished 16-22 overall and 2-6 in Little Hawkeye action.
