Panther girls remain undefeated in conference play

PANORA, Iowa — The #15 Panorama girls started the year off in a good spot by defeating the Pleasantville Trojans in their first game back Tuesday night in Panora.

The Panthers lead the Trojans at halftime 40-12, and the points kept on coming.

“We started off slow but found our defensive spark to get the baskets to fall,” said Coach Boettcher.

The Panthers came out with the 56-25 win over Pleasantville, taking them to 9-1 overall and 7-0 in the conference.

In Panorama Panther boys action against the Trojans, the battle was waged until the very end, but it wasn’t quite enough.

Going into halftime, the Panthers were up 36-31, and the third and fourth quarters saw the lead go back and forth with the Trojans.

Braedon Draper had a good night, leading the Panthers with 28 points, but it could not prevent a 76-67 loss for the Panthers.

The Panthers next action will be Friday night at Ogden.
