An Adel man was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Monday for allegedly head butting his girlfriend.
Jeremy James Frame, 21, of 320 Nile Kinnick Dr. N., Adel, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness and interference with official acts.
The alleged assault occurred about 12:30 p.m. Sept. 11, when an officer of the Adel Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of Nile Kinnick Drive N.
According to court records, the responding officer saw a male fleeing from the scene and wearing only blue jeans. The officer “yelled at him to stop, but he didn’t,” according to court records.
The officer made contact with the victim, who told the officer that Frame “had been drinking and had become upset due to her not getting aspirin for him.” The victim said Frame “did push her down and pinned her,” according to court records, and “then head-butted her in the nose because she told him that she was going to break up with him.”
The officer observed “red marks on her arms” and “swelling in the bridge of her nose from the blow.”
A warrant for Frame’s arrest was ordered Sept. 14 in Dallas County District Court.
When officers of the Adel Police Department attempted to serve the warrant about 5 p.m. Monday in the 24000 block of Nantucket Road, Frame “ran from officers attempting to arrest him.” He was later located, arrested and charged with assault and interference with official acts.
Frame is held on the Dallas County Jail on a $1,300 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Sept. 25 in Dallas County District Court.
