Cole Noland Miner, 18, of Adel was arrested in March on a charge of second-degree sexual abuse.

An Adel man faces a sexual-abuse charge after allegedly repeatedly molesting a 9-year-old girl over 14 months.

Cole Noland Miner, 18, of 1404 Greene St., Adel, was charged with second-degree sexual abuse.

Miner allegedly “did commit sexual abuse by performing a sex act with a child under the age of 12” at a residence in Redfield between Nov. 1, 2020, and Jan. 16, 2022, according to court records.

According to court records, Miner allegedly “repeatedly forced the 9-year-old victim on his bed by shoving her” and “forcibly removed the victim’s clothing” and touched her inappropriately “on multiple occasions.”

Miner later allegedly “made admissions to inappropriate behavior and apologized for molesting the victim through a text message conversation with the victim’s mother,” according to court records.

A warrant for Miner’s arrest was ordered March 4 in Dallas County District Court and served March 7. Miner is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $10,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a competency hearing July 15 in Dallas County District Court.
