Adel woman allegedly scratches husband’s face in fight

An Adel woman was arrested Tuesday after allegedly scratching her husband’s face in the course of an argument.

Pamela Kae McGrean, 53, of 210 S. 17th St., Adel, was charged with third or subsequent offense domestic abuse assault.

The incident began about 7 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of S. 17th Street, where officers of the Adel Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The officers made contact with the victim, who said McGrean “had been drinking and got angry with him” and “scratched the victim’s face on the left-hand side, causing it to bleed,” according to court records.

McGrean is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond in advance of an initial appearance in the Dallas County District Court.

McGrean was convicted of domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury or mental illness in 2007 in Polk County District Court. She was convicted of second-offense domestic abuse assault in 2012 in Polk County District Court. She was convicted of assault in 2012 in Polk County District Court. She was convicted of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness in 2018 in Dallas County District Court. She as convicted of assault on persons in certain occupations in 2020 in Dallas County District Court. She was convicted of second-offense domestic abuse assault in May 2020 in Dallas County District Court.
