Pamela Kae McGrean, 57, of Adel was arrested Sunday on a warrant for third or subsequent offense-domestic abuse assault and driving while barred-habitual offender.

An Adel woman was arrested Sunday in connection with an alleged Dec. 14 assault during which she body slammed her husband into a bathtub.

Pamela Kae McGrean, 52, of 210 S. 17th St., Adel, was charged with third or subsequent offense-domestic abuse assault and driving while barred-habitual offender.

The incident began Dec. 14 when officers of the Adel Police Department responded to a report of an intoxicated driver leaving the residence at 210 S. 17th St. in Adel.

The officers did not locate the suspect vehicle but made contact with the victim, who said McGrean “was drinking and became angry” and then “drove the vehicle through the yard and left the property,” according to court records.

The victim told officers that the trouble “started a few days ago when Pamela body slammed him into the bathtub,” and she “grabbed him by the hair and beard and became violent.”

An arrest warrant was issued Dec. 16 by Dallas County Magistrate Donna Mae Schauer and served Sunday. A protective order was issued Monday.

McGrean is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Jan. 9 in Dallas County District Court.

McGrean has four prior convictions for domestic abuse assault.
