Law enforcement is seeking the driver of a light-duty pickup truck who apparently left the scene of an accident early Saturday in the 15000 block of 141st Street about three miles west of Perry.
A caller reported shortly before 1 a.m. that a vehicle could be seen in the south ditch.
A Perry Police Department officer was first on the scene and determined the vehicle rolled before coming to rest.
Evidence in the empty vehicle suggested alcohol might have been a factor in the wreck, according to radio traffic.
Debris from a demolished mailbox or other yard ornament could be seen in the driveway of the property at 15274 141st St.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office is investigating the incident. The Iowa State Patrol also responded.
