The 2019 golf season opened for both Perry teams Tuesday, with the Bluejays hosting Ballard while the Jayettes joined by Bondurant-Farrar and Norwalk in visiting Ballard.
Only two players competed for the Perry boys and just two for the Perry girls.
Zach Darr fired a 69 and Dalton Scott a 79 for the Bluejays, while Delaney Eiteman had a 61 and MaryLou Ledesma a 67 for the Jayettes.
Kade Miller and Alex Bangs led the Bomber boys with cards of 45 and 46, respectively, with Brooks Fleischman shooting a 48 and Spencer Catus a 50. Thomas Locker (55) and Ben Johnson (56) also competed for Ballard.
Norwalk won the girls meet with a 204, with host Ballard posting a 222 and B-F a 239.
Emily Ellis (46), Taylor Gassman (52) and Kailee Elsen (53) and Lauren Davis (53) scored for Norwalk, with Reilly Baker (50), Maya Baier (54), Lauren Smith (58) and Cassidy Thompson (60) providing the cards for Ballard while B-F scored rounds from Brenna Hamborg (51), Elise Tharp (54), Olivia Wendt (60) and Jenna Fuchs (74).
The Perry boys will join Des Moines Christian for a triangular at Greene County Thursday, with DMC and Greene County visiting Perry for a girls triangular. Perry will then host the Jayette Invitational Saturday.
