A car struck a slow-moving tractor from behind Saturday about 6 p.m. on County Road R22 east of Dallas Center.

The cause of the collision is under investigation at this hour. There were no injuries, according to the Iowa State Patrol, lead agency on the incident.

The farm implement sustained minor damage and left the scene shortly after the mishap.

Airbags deployed in the auto, according to emergency responders on scene.

Fire fighters mopped up after the car was loaded on a flatbed tow truck, sweeping debris from the roadway and spreading an absorbent material to soak up spilled fluids.

    • My guess it was probably chore time and was heading to feed livestock at another farm…I guess they are even hungry during the winter…Who knew!
